Only freshly produced distilled water has a pH-value of approximately 7, but due to the Presence of carbon dioxide in atmosphere it will reach a slightly acidic pH-value within a couple of hours.
One cannot measure the pH of high purity water simply by dipping the electrodes of a pH meter into a beaker full of water. This measurement is challenging due to the quasi-absence of ions that would enable electron transport between the measuring and reference sides of the pH electrode. It often results in erratic and meaningless pH readings. However, using water high resistivity (18.2 M cm at 250C) ensures that the pH is close to 7.0
Use of pre treated water with TDS less than 50 ppm is recommended to prevent scale formation in the boiler and improve quality of distillate.

Aquatherm Heat Exchangers can be used with the distillation units. The hot water coming out of the Condenser outlet is usually left to the Sink thereby wasting precious water. With the use of Aquatherm Heat Exchanger, the hot water is cooled using the Cooling coils, Fan and pumped back to the Condenser inlet thereby saving water.
Advantages : It can be table mounted and occupies less space. Power consumption is minimum. 15 litres of water is all it takes to run the Distillation Unit (Single or Double). The unit can be used with 3365-1.5 Ltr / hr.
