Low Iron Solar Glass

Textured low iron glass is a soda lime glass in which the content of iron oxide is significantly lower than in normal flat glass. It has a distinctive, nearly colourless appearance particularly when seen from the edge.

Also known as "Extra Clear Glass" and "Solar glass", this is a high solar energy transmitting glass. The textured surface helps to diffuse the light, and inhibit the reflection of a part of the solar energy back into the atmosphere as compared to a polished surface, thus enhancing solar energy transmission.
