Labware Lighting

Borosil has developed specialized glass products for use in Hazardous, Flame proof and Division 2 lighting fittings. They are of three types -

  • Well glass, used as protective envelopes for lamp bulbs.
  • Tubular glass, used as protective envelopes for fluorescent tubes.
  • Safety lamp chimney, custom made for flame safety lamps, which are used in estimating gas present in underground mines.

  • 47 years of glass making experience ensures complete reliability.
  • In house glass melting facility which incorporates strict quality control checks of raw material and melting procedures, ensures total consistency in glass quality.
  • Low expansion ( 3.3 x 10-6) glass withstands thermal shocks upto 130ºC

  • Current range includes OD 57 mm and OD 60mm in lengths of 1197 mm and 580 mm.

  • The entire range is manufactured – 15W , 30 W, 60 W, 150 W, 200 W, 250W, 300W.

  • Manufactured from specially drawn tubing with very tight tolerances.
